Amber Wing, Asian Wakeboard Cup Champion!

Amber is currently in China after competing in the Asian Wakeboard Cup in the beautiful Fuyang, Zhejiang Province and is on her way to compete at the IWSF World Cup in Liuzhou.

After a headache beginning with her bags not leaving the USA where she began her journey, Amber was stuck without any of her own equipment. Being the true champion she is, Wing began competition using other competitors equipment which she was not familiar with. Luckily, in time for finals day Amber's fresh clothes and wakeboard arrived to her hotel.

As always Amber didnt let her stresses get in the way of her riding, competing strong throughout the semis and final to be crowned Women's Asian Wakeboard Cup Champion ahead of World Cup Stop Champion Chen Li Li and Japanses charger Miku Asai.

KEELAN VETICH, 4TH AT THE WILD SURF CO MATTARA PRO!!

Bar Beach, Newcastle played host to many Australia's top surfers for the 5th stop of the Hurley Championship Circuit consisting of six events. Keelan Vetich breezed his way through Open Men's, knocking out many big names on his way to securing himself a spot in the final and walking away with 4th place!

Coming into round 5 , Vetich was placed 6th on the overal standings, his 4th place will see him climb further up that ladder!

Wing Team Manger Luke Madden was on site to witness Keelan's performance "This is a really really really big result. Most competitors are professional, and he has shown that he is just as good as them "

This was also a big day for Madden himself, as it was the first time he has taking the reins planning and organising for such a big event.

The next stop will be the Zink Surf South Coast Pro, 10-11 October 2009 at Werri Beach.

Miss Universe Australia wears Wing!!

Rachael Finch who was crowned Miss Universe Australia 2009 has been spotted wearing one of our Wing buoyancy vests while looking very gorgeous waterskiing.
The vest she is wearing is our Junior PFD 3!

Paris Whittaker Update and Photos!

Hey everyone its Paris here. I've been hanging out at Port Macquarie recently and having a great time. We have been getting some good waves at Town and Lighthouse Beaches and also doing all the tourist type things. Here are a few pics for you.

Amber Wing Takes Woman's Best Trick @ Wake Awards!

Continuing to push woman's wakeboarding has always been Amber's main focus, with her own individuality on and off the water she has been a great ambassador for the woman. Tonight at the Wake Awards held in Orlando, Florida Amber was honored with the 2009 woman's 'Best Trick' category for her heel side 720, up against stiff competition with Dallas Friday's S-bend. Winning this award has been something miss Wing has been working hard at for months now trying to land a second trick to secure two entries into this category. Unfortunately that didn't happen, though all she needed was the one 720 to seal the deal. No doubt Amber will be back at work soon, trying to land that second trick getting in early for the 2010 awards!

Huge congratulations Amber on such an amazing achievement!

Wayne Mawer World Champion, Eagle takes 3rd!

Congratulations to Wayne Mawer who has taken claim to the Formula 1 Men’s world title in the 16th World Water Ski Racing championships in Belgium behind ‘Tru Blu’, Mark Cranny at the wheel and Damien Matthews observing. Wayne now holds two ski race world titles as well as a wakeboard world title.

Unfortunately, Wing team member top F1 skier, Peter Procter took a fall in round one causing a severe injury to his rib. Peter was forced to stand down from the next rounds bringing a devastating end to his 2009 world title campaign.

Sydney to Newcastle record holder, Lauryn Eagle put in an amazing effort in the Formula 1 Women's event taking third to favourite Kim Lumley and Katelin Wendt

Oklahoma US Nationals Results

Congratulations to Amber who came 3rd in Opens Women at the US Nationals. Amber was the current two time national champion going into this event, unfortunately she was unable to hold onto her title for a third year in a row, though she did put up a fight. Amber has been riding extremely consistent which showed throughout her two passes getting a perfect krypt and large heel side 540 down, popping her tricks and landing them clean. She did however take a hard fall on the transfer box, though didn't let that shake her coming home strong knowing what she needed to do so that she could secure her place on the podium.

Dallas Friday and Nicola Butler were always going to be a threat for the title, Dallas surprised everybody by being the first girl to land an S-Bend in competition which is a trick that very few men can even perform. Nicola, the current Queen of Wake, wasn't fazed by Dallas showing her usual relaxed style throwing down a handle pass KGB and roll to blind along with her typical on and of axis spins.
