Procter and Hellrazor Reset Bridge to Bridge Record

The Sydney Bridge to Bridge is the most prestigious and longest running ski race in the Southern Hemisphere, running 112 Km from the mouth of the Hawkesbury River up to Windsor, Western Sydney. This year not only marked the 50th anniversary of the great race, though also marked Mary Macmillan's 50th consecutive race run also a huge accomplishment which may never be matched.

Wing Wetsuits ski racer, Peter Procter added yet another huge title to his name taking out the 201this years race, backing up his 2010 victory. Pete was skiing alongside Daniel Campbell behind Mark Cranny and Damien Mathews in Hellrazor, a combination who smashed the longstanding record of 38.57.53 set in 2005 by Stinga.

All competitors this year came together to not only celebrate the victories on the water, though to also pay respect and commemorate Stephen Robertson who tragically passed away in the week leading to the event. 100 red balloons were released as Chris Stout skiing one up behind Noel Griffin's boat, Burnin, crossed the line. The bank was filled with the unlimited teams cheering in memory of a greatly respected man.

Australia and Wing Wetsuits Skier Dominate Worlds

Wing Wetsuits tournament water skier Tim Bradstreet over the last two months has picked up a Silver at the World Titles and two Gold medals at the Under 21 World Titles.
The Australian Under 21 team came third overall out of a field of 29 nations.
Some strong performances from Tim Bradstreet and Jacinta Carroll helped Australia finish so strongly.
Bradstreet took out the mens jump event with a jump of 67.3 metres, 3.9 metres ahead of the next best competitor. This huge jump along with a solid trick and slalom score gave him first place overall.
Carroll's leap of 54.4 metres in womens jump was more than enough to give her first place, beating the rest of the field by over 4 metres. Her strong performances in trick and slalom gave her second place overall.
Bradstreet's rise to the top has not just been in the under 21 ranks, his performance at the World Titles in Russia last July put a strong message out the seasoned veterans that the next generation is coming. Bradstreet and Carroll came second in mens and womens jump respectively. Bradstreet jumped 67.5 metres and was only beaten by world record holder Freddy Krueger while Carroll's jump of 50.8 metres was beaten by less than half a metre.
Congratulations to all the Aussie team skiers

Cronulla Girls Boardriders - Round 4

Cronulla Girls Boardriders - Round 4 - 25 June 2011

The weekend saw an absolutely wonderful day of surfing for the Cronulla Girls Boardriders Club.

It was warm for a winters day with light offshore wind and a 1 and a half foot surf on an A frame peak in front of Elouera control tower where the club could run a full surfing program from Whitewash to Mermaids Malibu's to Opens.

A mile of prizes from Sponsors were still up for grabs - with Maddi winning the Wing Wetsuits goodies bag, Jess winning the Surf Dive & Ski Voucher and Karen winning the Case of VB. Well done ladies.

These are some of the photos of the girls, kindly supplied to us by April Charles. Cronulla Girls Boardriders Club is proudly supported by Wing Wetsuits, SDS, Roxy, Wahine, Sun Zapper, VB and Cronulla Surfing Academy.
